Women’s Health Physiotherapy Consultation

Women’s Health Physiotherapy is focused on musculoskeletal issues associated with pregnancy, birth, post-partum, breastfeeding and menopause, including diagnosis and management of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.

There is now relief and help for pelvic floor dysfunction through Physiotherapy; after all – it is another group of muscles! Many problems arise from difficulty in getting these muscles working properly. Focussed Physiotherapy on these areas provides a chance to improve your muscle activation and become stronger, allowing you to be more confident in your pelvic floor to provide support when you need it.

Women’s Health Physiotherapy Consultation

Pregnancy is a wonderful but physically demanding time for your body. Assistance from a Physiotherapist during this time can help in the management of pain, pelvic instability, core weakness or to assist in designing an appropriate exercise program for your pregnancy’s duration, and even, for post-birth. As once you’ve had your baby, it’s an important time to consider pelvic floor health and how to regain control and confidence in your core and pelvic floor muscles.
